Wonderjack is a dynamic four piece original modern rock band hailed for its "energetic performances" and "tight arrangements and harmonies".  After only a few years the band has evolved its sound into an unusual, yet cohesive mix of electric guitar riffs and vintage electromechanical keyboard patterns, driven by a solid rhythmic foundation created by bass and drums.

Consistent local gigging, constant songwriting and the release of their previous four-song EP November resulted in the band receiving significant attention on the air waves and in clubs throughout the VA/DC/PA region.  Chris from the "Rusty Nail Radio Show " enthusiastically commented, "their voices are unbelievable!"

Wonderjack completed their latest EP - Shoot Out the Lights - in February of 2006.  With this latest recording, WJ has pushed the boundaries of their sound, and succeeded in capturing the energy of their live shows.  They were pleased to have the help of Erik Skews (Viki Nova Band) in recording, Ted Comerford (The Argument, Juniper Lane) in mixing, and Dave Harris of Studio B for mastering.  The 5 song disk is available at their shows, and though the website.

Wonderjack's music has been featured as an editor's pick on mp3.washingtonpost.com, on Z104's Capital Scene hosted by Jenni Chase in Washington DC, DC101's Local Lix with Roche, on 14 radio stations and 4 webcasts in the Philadelphia area, and on the local Washington DC television channel Megahertz.  This year, Wonderjack was honored to be selected as one of the performers of the 6 Points Music Festival in the Washington DC.  Wonderjack has performed in DC-area venues such as: IOTA, The State Theatre, Galaxy Hut, Rhodeside Grill, TT Reynolds, DC9, Grog and Tankard, Ragtime, Dr. Dremo's Taphouse, Clarendon Grill, Laughing Lizard Lounge, George Washington University, Ned Devine's, and the Firehouse Grill. Regionally, Wonderjack regularly plays The Rusty Nail (near Philadelphia), and has appeared at Jaberwoke and Coupe DeVille's in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Craig Fennell joined Wonderjack in 2001, bringing a strong tenor voice and extensive musical training to the group. Before joining Wonderjack, Craig served as the keyboardist and vocalist for the rock group The Fiasco between 1999 and 2001, and Otis Wants Bread in 1997 and 1998. Craig plays a Nord Electro 2 through his Kurzweil pc88mx controller.
Charlie Gray joined Wonderjack in 2001, bringing with him years of guitar experience as well as a talent for songwriting. Charlie provides the musical breadth and creativity that has served as the foundation for many of Wonderjack’s original songs. Previously, Charlie played with the group Thirty Dollar Magic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Charlie owns at least eleven guitars, though that number fluctuates.  Suffice it to say that Charlie plays Fender guitars - a lot of them - but not all at once.

Graduating with degrees in percussion performance from the New England Conservatory of Music (’00) and the Indiana University School of Music (’98), Randy Johnson brings an extensive musical resume to the band. Since joining Wonderjack in the summer of 2001 Randy has strongly contributed to the band’s development. Known for his stylistic versatility on the drum set, he can also be seen playing jazz, funk, calypso, and more around town. Music is his passion, and in fact has become his career, performing as a classical/contemporary percussionist with a major DC-area organization. Randy can pretty much play any percussion instrument, including his van’s steering wheel, though with Wonderjack he prefers his set of Yamaha Maple Custom drums with Zildjian and Sabian cymbals.
Dan Roche is the newest addition to Wonderjack, having joined the group in February 2002. Dan has a lengthy musical resume, having played with the local bands The Fiasco, Sweettooth, and the Power-Pop outfit Tathos. Dan is also a professional classical singer, having performed at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra as part of the Master Chorale of Washington.  He plays on a 1973 Fender Jazz Bass or Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray with a Gallien Krueger 800rb Amp Head / Peavey 410TVF Cabinet and a Boss LM-5 Limiter.
