Mid-winter update

It's been a while, but we haven't forgotten to play our instruments or anything.  Dan and I went on a monastic retreat and returned with a warm holistic glow and a barrel of organic hummus;  Craig and Randy robbed a couple non-FDIC insured financial institutions and came back with several thousand Sacagawea coins

After the disappointing discovery that the coins were not made of chocolate, there was bickering, name calling, and a couple roundhouse kicks- I like to pretend I'm a character from the Nintendo game "Double Dragon" sometimes- but we finally calmed down and decided to use the money to bankroll a new recording (this decision barely edged out going to the zoo 68 times apiece to watch the new panda cub sleep).

So we're nearing the end of production and you'll be able to hear the new EP soon- probably in March.  We've been working with Erik Skews (of Viki Nova's Band), Ted Comerford, and Dave Harris for engineering, mixing, and mastering respectively, and they've all done a great job.

Honestly, I wish we had incorporated them more, but since Randy had eaten so many Sacagawea coins before finding out they weren't edible, our budget wouldn't allow it.  Despite that, we're very pleased with how things are turning out- we expect our key demographics of lonely housewives and male Olympic figure skaters to really enjoy it.

Besides recording, we've been keeping busy: we've recently written 2 new songs and 37 unanswered letters to the Easter Bunny, Randy's engaged (but not to his drums), and we're all mussing and gelling our hair in various degrees in anticipation of our impending stardom. We'll be at Rhodeside in early March with Copper Sails, and then Randy goes on tour with the Navy band for a while- so hope to see you at Rhodeside.
